Our daycare works hard to stay posted on the most up-to-date teaching methods.  We are constantly changing our curriculum but maintain basic methods that we believe nurture children’s learning.  Our methods are exemplified in the activities we do with the kids.

Our activities are in the fields of:
   -  Art
   -  Science
   -  Movement
   -  Music
   -  Outdoor play
   -  Sense related activities (smell, sight, feel)

We like kids to learn by doing things themselves and provide them with an endless amount of enthusiasm as well as tools to explore with.  Our daycare is filled with toys, games, musical instruments, and books.

Each day, you will receive a daily report of your child so that you are kept updated on how and what they did that day, how much they ate, and what their mood was like.  Also, often your child will be taking with them a “home version” of a story or song we talked about during the day, so that you can repeat it with them at home.

Infant Program

The Infant Program has up to 12 infants and three teachers . Each infant teacher has had many years of experience working with babies. Each infant is treated as an individual with their own individual schedule. Ages served in the Infant Program are 6-weeks to 16-months. We are cloth diaper friendly too!

Toddler Program

The Toddler Program serves children from 16-months to age three. There are 14 toddlers with a staff of two. The toddlers spend their days in free play, art projects, music and books along with a special music time each Friday. Outside play in our playground and McRae park is a big part of every day’s activities along with neighborhood walks.

Preschool Program & Pre-K

The Preschool Program serves children three years to five years old. The Preschool Group & Pre-K is up to 20 children with two teachers. The preschoolers spend their days in fun art projects, lots of learning experiences, field trips and a lot of outdoor time. The Pre-K Program serves children from four to five years. The Pre-K class spends a lot of time getting ready for kindergarten with reading, writing and language activities as well as field trips and outdoor time.

Extra classes for the Preschool and Pre-K class include weekly classes in Spanish, dance and music. An enrichment program is also provided in the summer.
